About JERA Nex

We drive JERA’s renewable energy business growth in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. As a global renewables IPP working across the life cycle of renewables, we are looking for key talent to be an active part of this exciting journey as the business grows further.


The Management Accountant role will be based in London and will require occasional travelling and frequent collaboration with the JERA Group Headquarters in Japan, the JERA Nex Headquarters in the UK and Parkwind Headquarters in Belgium.

You will support the day to day financial accounting activities of the JERA Nex and its subsidiaries. This is an important role and will help to define our day-to-day accounting processes – as well as supporting new system implementation across the JERA Nex finance team.

You will be the backbone of our global subsidiaries, driving value creation, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making at a global scale. What you will be doing

  • Subsidiary operations (Responsible for around 4 to 8 international companies)
  • Main task: Support the controlling activities of Jera Nex subsidiaries;
  • Assist Management in steering the value creation of the company;
  • Verify payments and cash flow, and financial reports, considering accounting and tax issues.
  • Confirm the data inputted into parent company consolidated financial reporting system;
  • Coordinate with external auditors, headquarters in Japan and overseas offices;
  • Preparation of materials for shareholders’ meeting and board of directors’ meeting, operation and various adjustments;
  • Provide support in preparing (financial) presentations for stakeholders and board meetings;
  • Contribute to improving reporting, controlling and planning processes;
  • Confirm JERA Nex consolidated financial results;
  • Support SAP S4 and SAP Concur implementation;
  • Catch all other assignments requested by the manager.

Job requirements

What you will have

  • You are AAT or ACCA/CIMA fully qualified;
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • You have a good ability to understand the business and its interactions. More in particular you have a good understanding of the financial, fiscal and regulatory aspects and their implications on the business and ability to generate value;
  • You have a good knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS norms. Knowledge of consolidation is a plus;
  • You are an advanced user of MS Office especially Excel;
  • You can express yourself in Japanese is plus. You are organized enough to be able to track multiple projects and perform several tasks at the same time;
  • You are accurate and have strong analytical skills;
  • You have strong social and communicative skills and can work both in team and autonomously;
  • Being familiar with SAP S4 is a plus.
