About JERA Nex

We drive JERA’s renewable energy business growth in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. As a global renewables company working across the life cycle of renewables, we are looking for talented people to be an active part of this exciting journey as the business grows further.

The role will be based in London and will require occasional travelling and frequent collaboration with the JERA Group Headquarters in Japan, the JERA Nex Headquarters in the UK and Parkwind Headquarters in Belgium.

We urgently need to procure and configure systems and processes to support the rapid growth of the company. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in global company, a proven track record in successful project management, and be excited by the power of technology to transform business. 


In light of further international expansion of its business, JERA Nex is looking for a Internal Auditor. You will be part to the Risk & Internal Audit Team and reporting to our Risk & Internal Audit Manager.


What you will be doing:

Your Role:

  • Coordinate and define the risk-based internal audit planning, focusing on operational audits. Execute operational audits, formulate recommendations, and oversee the implementation of audit findings. Ensure continuous improvement of the audit framework.
  • Coordinate the J-SOX compliance program, in collaboration with HQ.
  • Provide support for the First Party Audits related to our ISO certifications (ISO 9001, 27001, 14001, 45001).
  • Where relevant, collaborate with external audit consultants.
  • Report directly to the Audit Committee and the Board, providing independent and objective assurance, as to whether the risks threatening the company’s objectives, are managed to remain within the determined Risk Appetite.
  • Overall objective is to help the company sustain and improve its internal control systems.

Note: This is a Parkwind focused position, with the potential to be lifted up to JERA Nex group level.

Job requirements

What you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of auditing experience, ideally with exposure to global operations.
  • Experience with J-SOX compliance. CIA certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels in a global setting.
  • A genuine interest in renewable energy in all its aspects (technical, financial, and legal dimensions.)
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Japanese is a plus.
  • Trustworthy, with a high degree of independence.
  • An inquisitive person with a critical and analytical mindset.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
