We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Community & Social Licence Manager for an exciting renewables infrastructure project in Gippsland, Victoria.


Your role:

  • Develop and deliver communications and stakeholder engagement plans to support the project strategy and build social licence.
  • Build positive and collaborative working relationships with partners and community, education, industry and government agency stakeholders.
  • Represent the project in the community, at public events and stakeholder meetings.
  • Consult with community to ensure the voice of stakeholders is considered in project planning and social benefits are identified and realized.
  • Facilitate the meaningful collaboration of project partners, including Traditional Owners, in project planning and development.
  • Ensure stakeholder enquiries are effectively resolved in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Lead the preparation of and delivery of community focused events and communications materials.
  • Undertake project reporting of the Community and Stakeholder function.


Job requirements

Your profile:

  • Exceptional verbal, written communication, public presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as communications, journalism or public relations, community development or commerce.
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and delivering community relations and benefits sharing programs.
  • Experience in enabling community participation and building social licence in renewable energy or large infrastructure projects.
  • 10 years’ experience in community engagement.
  • Culturally competent with experience collaborating with Traditional Owner representative organisations, First Nations community members, businesses and/or community-controlled organisations in project planning and development.
  • Ability to engage and influence.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to tasks, including a willingness to travel to meet with project stakeholders.

This role is based primarily in Gippsland, Victoria. Drivers Licence required. After hours and out of office work may be required.
