experience with the local expertise and knowledge necessary to deliver successful projects.

What You Will Be Doing

• Evaluates safety, environmental, social risks and requirements with regards to lending/financing, maintains this part of the risk register, and works to eliminate the risk and/or implement adequate safety protections to ensure the safe return of all people and partners involved in this part of the business.
• Coordinates with other regions and maintains up to date assumptions books for project financial models for different equipment configurations, as well as acceptable internal land partner contractual risk allocation matrix for key financial partners including JBIC.
• Understands relevant local/regional/global valuations in detail for historic and recent M&A, portfolio, and project transactions.
• Coordinates with Origination and Development to maintain an ongoing market-based project entry and exit valuation matrix throughout development / risk mitigation process and project lifecycle.
• Co-responsible for M&A origination, DD, and contractual negotiations.
• Maintains lender profiles, priorities, risk positions matrix.
• Coordinates with JERA Nex HQ and JERA Asia on lender and insurance relationships and subsequent management.
• Accountable for building and maintaining portfolio and project financial models including all local and domestic taxes and fees.
• Accountable for insurance sourcing and subsequent DD of insurability of portfolios, projects, and or sites.
• Accountable for asset transfer and acquisition financial DD.
• Accountable for managing lender due diligence.
• Accountable for lender reporting requirements documentation and execution. In the event of a potential reporting issue, responsible for rapid escalation to regional head.
• Accountable for Share Holder Agreement negotiation and execution.

What You Will Have

• You will have 5-15 years relevant working experience in project finance.

• You will have a Masters degree, by preference in finance.

• Have led 2-3 buyside transactions and at least 1 sell side transaction

• You will have strong analytical skills and an excellent working knowledge of Excel.

• You feel comfortable with numbers and complex Excel models (modelling experience is a plus) and you are willing to further develop your expertise.

• You have strong skills in power point and word.

• You have a strong interest in renewable energy and finance.

• You are hands on, responsible and pay attention to detail without losing the big picture.

• You have the ability to work independently.

• Have management experience of at least 1-3 direct reports.

• You are fluent in English and a regional language.
